Outside
I hear the birds singing the song they sing outside, crowing to each other and speaking in the quiet morning air. As the whoosh and tic of sprinklers go off in the winds of the birds songs, and bugs fly through the soft morning air, the chains bang on the tetherball poles as the ball swings in the breeze. I see the green grass with dried yellow spots where it slowly dies. The broken nets from little kids making their shots in the hoop, jumping with excitement . A boy with a grayish-blue shirt, resting on the light blue wall ball court. He writes with a notebook and a nicely sharpened yellow pencil. Sometimes looking up to think what to write about. The large blue play structure with two slides, a firefighter pole, silver monkey bars on which only the older kids are allowed. Feeling the burning sensation of the sun, as it reflects off my black shirt. The morning winds brushes through my arms and hair. The little black bugs coming and attacking me as they make my arms, legs, and ears itch. Being outside makes me feel at home.
