Jill Lange
This is Jill Lange. She is a 2nd grade teacher here at Tom Hawkins School. She graduated from California State University, Chico with her BA in Liberal Studies. She received her multiple subject teaching credential from Chapman University. She attended GVWP Summer Institute in 2011 and has enjoyed sharing her love of teaching and writing with fellow teachers. Her favorite hobbies are reading, doing crafts, and gardening. Her favorite quote is from Winston Churchill - "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen."
Dawn Myers
This is Mrs. Myers. As of right now, Mrs. Myers is a instructional coach at Anthony Traina Elementary School. This means she doesn't just work with one grade level, but all grades from transitional kindergarten to eighth grade. Even before that, Mrs. Myers worked with fourth graders at Hawkins. You could say Mrs. Myers has lots of experience! In fact, Mrs. Myers graduated from National University. In her free time, Mrs.Myers loves to travel and go camping with her family. She also loves to sit down and read a good book. A quote that Mrs.Myers is always emphasizing says, "Without a struggle, there will be no progress."(by :Frederick Douglass).
Paul Fern
Allyn Ziebarth
This is Mrs. Ziebarth. She attended CAL State Fulerton, and works is a teacher at Joshua Cowell Elementary School. She teaches 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. Her hobbies include reading, writing, art, (particularly pastels and paint) and cooking. She says that she has more cookbooks than any one person should own. This is her first year as a teacher consultant, but she fell in love with the great valley writing camps two years ago when she attended the demo lab in Ripon. She saw first-hand how exciting writing could be for students, both as creative writing, and as a doorway for better understanding of all subject areas.
Krista Beltran
This is Ms. Krista Beltran. She graduated from Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo. She now teaches 7th grade reading and language arts at Tom Hawkins Elementry school. Ms. Beltran loves to read, but when she isn't reading, she loves to travel and to bake. Something she always tells her students is to "Read like a writer and write like a reader."
Diane Entizne
This is Ms. Diane Entizne. She graduated from Chico State and Chapman University. She currently teaches 8th grade ELA at Tom Hawkins Elementry school. Ms. Entizne enjoys reading, hiking, and just being outdoors. She loves animals and frequently gets bitten by random animals that she encounters. Ms. Enitizne's favorite phrase is, "Knowledge is power, while ignorance is evil."
